Autocross events are driving skill contests that emphasize the driver’s ability and the car’s handling characteristics. This is accomplished by driving a course that is designated by traffic cones on a low hazard location, such as a parking lot or inactive airstrip. While speeds are no greater than those normally encountered in legal highway driving,the combination of concentration and car feedback creates an adrenaline pumping experience. It is like being in a movie chase scene, only you are holding onto the steering wheel instead of a box of popcorn!

Event schedule:

Gates Open: 7:00am
Registration 7:30-8:30am
Course Walk 8:00-8:45am

Intermediate Walk: 8:35am
Rookie Walk: 8:30am
Tech 7:35-8:35am
Drivers Meeting 9:00am
First Car out 9:30am
Heat Competition: 9:30am-3:30pm
Site Cleanup: 3:00pm-4:00pm

Trophy Presentation: approximately 3:30pm
Site Closes: 5:00pm

 Event fees are as follows:

SCCA Members online $35.00
SCCA Members late registration online $40.00
Non-SCCA Members online $50.00
Non-SCCA Members late registration online $55.00

  • Please note that on-site registration is no longer available.
  • Event fees are subject to change due to event site cost.

Announcements

Minor Waivers

The SCCA is moving to an online minor waiver.  This waiver must be completed for any child 12-17 who will be riding in a vehicle or driving at an SCCA event.  This is required regardless of whether or not the child is an SCCA member.  Directions can be found here to complete the minor waiver before attending the event.  Any questions can be sent to our Chief of Waivers axwaivers@houscca.com.
